Our consultancy firm Tekeba & Friends Property Valuation and Management PLC has entered in to a contract with the Federal Ministry of Construction Urban Revenue Reform Project Office for  undertaking identification , mapping and valuation of special and unique properties in the three Cities of Mekele , Dire Dawa and Bahar Dar .  Tekeba & Friends Property Valuation and Management PLC would thus like to  invite interested and qualified applicants for the post of  Junior Property Surveyor  on project basis , to undertake property  and market survey works in the aforementioned Cities.

 

Position: Junior Property Surveyor

  • Education: First Degree in in Land and Property Valuation , Civil Engineering , Architecture , Construction Management ,or Surveying

 

Experience: None

Term of employment: Project based – about 5 months.

Work place: Dire Dawa , Mekele and Bahardar

Salary: Negotiable

Required No.: 15 for each City – total 45

Job Title:Junior Property Surveyor – Urban Revenue Reform Valuation Project

Location:Dire Dawa, Mekele and Bahardar
Contract Type:5 months contract , with possibility of extension
Reports to:City Coordinator
Salary:As per the Firm’s salary scale ( attractive)
Purpose:Reporting to the City Coordinator, the Junior Property Surveyor is responsible for ; survey , measurement and inspection  of unique  and special properties , and collection and consolidation of property attributes for use in valuation tools . The task will also incorporates survey  and reporting of  local market costs , land use right value comparable  and  other market data as required in the Project undertaking.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for identification of special and unique properties in their designated Cities;
  • Responsible for survey and inspection of unique and special properties ;
  • Responsible for measurement of special and unique properties and collection of  respective property attributes to be used in the valuation tools;
  • Responsible for preparation of rough sketches of properties;
  • Responsible for survey , collection and consolidation  of the local market for property related cost  and land use right market comparable data ;
  • Preparation of daily work schedules;
  • Calculation and preparation of plinth area , rentable area ,  and building component percentages  of unique and special properties;
  • Responsible for collection , consolidation and reporting of property specific , neighborhood and local property market attributes  as required for the Project undertaking;
  • Responsible for use of tablets and GIS Technology for collection of property attributes;
  • Assist in checking of completeness of surveyed data ;
  • Perform other duties as assigned to her / him by the City Coordinator

Knowledge and Experience·        No prior experience required
Qualifications/Other RequirementsEssential

  • BSC degree in Land and Property Valuation , Civil Engineering , Architecture , Construction Management ,or Surveying

Desirable

  • Good analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Autocad
  • Good knowledge of data analysis in MS Excel
